Conference Report
Society of Thoracic Surgeons of Thailand (STST) 2026 @Bangkok, Thailand
We were honored to participate in the 40th Annual Meeting of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons of Thailand (STST), held in Bangkok from January 23-25.
CROWNJUN conducted both luncheon seminar and hands-on workshop alongside the main scientific program.
During the workshop sessions, participants evaluated CROWNJUN ASFLEX (PVDF sutures) as well as Feltina Strip, with discussions focusing on tensile strength, handling characteristics, and performance in CABG simulation settings. Feedback highlighted the strength and reliability of ASFLEX, particularly during knot tying under tension.

The luncheon seminar featured:
Dr. Kensuke Ozaki (Kawasaki Aortic Center), who presented on fundamental aortic suture techniques and strategies to reduce bleeding and complications; and
Dr. Chanapong Kittayarak, who discussed the clinical advantages of PVDF sutures over polypropylene, particularly with respect to residual tensile strength in high-risk aortic cases.
We appreciate the engagement of the Thai thoracic surgical community and the opportunity to contribute to continued clinical dialogue and education.
